Why This Matters

The Defining Issue of a Generation

Students across North America are facing an unprecedented youth mental health crisis, yet many suffer in silence. Despite increased awareness, meaningful support still feels out of reach for too many.

The You’re Not Alone campaign gives youth something simple but powerful: a sense of connection, real tools they can use, a platform to speak up, and a model to transform school culture. We believe that one student with the right words at the right time can change someone’s life.

Led by students at Metro Prep, this campaign is about breaking those barriers with empathy, awareness, and real, actionable tools.

What We're Doing

By Students. For Students. With Real Impact.

Led by Metro Prep, this campaign is creating a national movement to support mental health and well-being in schools.

Our Initiatives:

  • Distributing Mental Health Support Decks to schools and communities
  • Hosting student-led podcasts and interviews with mental health experts
  • Sharing student-created content, stories, artwork, and social campaigns
  • Transforming school spaces with wellness boards, self-care stations, and resource hubs
  • Organizing panels, speaker events, and youth-led advocacy workshops
  • Celebrating our work at the year-end Impact Gala

The Facts:

  • 1 in 5 youth struggle with mental health challenges
  • Over 60% never ask for help
  • Suicide is the second-leading cause of death among youth (CDC, 2023)
  • Stigma, shame, and lack of accessible tools remain the biggest barriers
